This book read more as a study of the book johful Philippians more than anything, which is great but perhaps a bit misleading. I liked this one more because, and maybe because Philippians is a letter, not a history-focused book, Wiersbe didn’t speculate about people’s feelings and motivations that are nowhere in the Bible.

Jul 27, Grace rated it it was amazing. Very helpful, as well as the practical section at the end for living out what I’ve learned. Wiesbe really enjoyed this book. Thanks for telling us about the problem. A leader will use his privileges to help others and build the organization; a lesser man will use privileges to promote himself.
Each chapter covered a chunk of Philippians that covered a similar theme, but you need to read the Scripture from your own Bible “Be Joyful” wiegsbe a Bible study, but it reads more like a Christian Living book or commentary on Philippians. Wiersbe is often referred to as ‘the pastor’s pastor. To the average person, Christ is a misty figure in history who lived centuries ago, but as the wieesbe watch the believer go through a crisis, they can see Jesus magnified and brought so much closer I used this book as a resource while Skip Heitzig has been covering Philippians at my church, Calvary Church.
