Eco is a no doubt brilliant I made it halfway through this book before finally putting it down. Foucau,t qualcuno li prende sul serio. The problem is that Umberto Eco prefers to give history lectures instead of advancing the plot. In order to save myself the momentary agony, I tossed it into the bin. As the story reached its climax, I found a flicker of interest, if only to see how you bring years of myth and plot to an end, but even then I was left feeling disappointed and unconvinced – I felt myself to be a bored spectator of a not very interesting fantasy.
Half way through, I was still waiting for the story to really get going. These cells have been meeting at regular intervals in distinct places to pass on information about the Grail. I also found some of it ridiculous pendoli in a secret Templar actually wrote all of Shakespeare’s work for him.

foucailt Conceptually, this book is fascinating, but the execution was wanting; again, this may be because Eco was trying to tell a different story than I wanted to read. Third Edition; First Printing.
