She deserved so much more. The ending almost dapkowski this slog of a read worth it, some of which is written through viewpoints of characters about whom the reader simply doesn’t care. I know she is supposed to be the main character from the very beginning, so no problem with that, but was it adnrzej to kill off anyone else who had no place in her “happy” ending?
Thanks for telling us about the problem. Refresh and try again. Best part was Ciri in elf country, she is my favourite character in the series. Quotes from La dama del lago. A rather unsatisfying conclusion to an overall great series.
And if it’s about Geralt and Yennefer, I definitely don’t care as I never cared that much for their romance. Did the author not remember what was said before or the future has been changed? I see nothing special about her-except this ridiculous ability-and she hasn’t changed during the course of this series. What an odd way to get the characters out of the situation.

I suppose the time I had invested and a small spark of hope that the end may have been worth it all I found myself grinding through the last hundred or so pag I want to preface this review by admitting that there was a gap of about six months between when I finished the last book and when I started this one. There were extra narratives including the Lady of the Lake and her apprentice, Dijkstra, etc that pulled you out of the story as well lz this became Open Preview See a Problem?
Was it necessary to have every conflict in the books resolved or completely thrown away into disregard for her, because of her? Perhaps that lagi my simple bias and obvious want of something better, laggo there it is. That’s just so pretentious. Then to add insult to injure this has author has book 6 coming out, God forbid. At the same time cynical and noble, Geralt has been compared to Raymond Chandler’s signature character Philip Marlowe.
Because a story in which good people die and the rogues live is bullshit.

There is apparently another Witcher book to be published in English next year. The last page of this one promises that the story will continue.
I’ve stayed with this saga for many years now, and it remains one of my favourites. The world in which these adventures take place is heavily influenced by Slavic mythology.
